Alumni Weekend is Coming – April 28-30
Alumni from classes ending in 1 and 6 are invited to return to Pomona next month to celebrate Alumni Weekend with hundreds of fellow Sagehens from around the globe. New this year: Register online. The deadline is March 31.

Celebrate the arrival of spring with Pomona College in British Columbia. Professor of Anthropology Ralph Bolton ’61 invites alumni, parents, and friends to join him at the Mosaic Bar in Vancouver.

de Young Museum with Professor Arden Reed – April 1
Spend an afternoon in San Francisco with your fellow Sagehens. Following lunch and a lecture by Professor of English Arden Reed, head to the new de Young Museum to see the latest skyscape by James Turrell ’65.

AMOCA Museum in Pomona – April 9
Visit the American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA) with founding museum benefactor Dave Armstrong ’62 and President David Oxtoby for a reception and special lecture by Ground Zero sculptor Steve Tobin.

By Land, by Sea, by Air – Travel with Pomona
Trek, voyage, and soar to destinations near and far with your fellow alumni and distinguished Pomona faculty. Upcoming destinations include Germany, San Francisco, Central America, Norway and Eastern Europe.

We Are Scientists are Sagehens, too.
We Are Scientists is that three-man band with Pomona College connections, of late seen making a joyful racket on The Late Show with David Letterman after the release of the band’s major label debut, With Love and Squalor.

KSPC celebrates 50 years of community service and eclectic music.
Pomona College radio station, KSPC 88.7 FM, celebrated its 50th birthday in February, and its mission hasn’t strayed from that laid out by co-founder Terry Drinkwater ’58 in the station’s inaugural broadcast.

Professor Discovers Mechanism behind Learning and Memory.

Professor Karl Johnson is the lead author of a ground-breaking paper announcing the discovery of a novel molecular mechanism that controls synapse strength, which may be a key regulator of learning and memory.

Josia Lamberto-Egan ’00 Helps Start Award-winning Fashion Label.
Lamberto-Egan and three other twenty-somethings have made a big splash with their fashion company, Trovata. The Los Angeles Times recently chronicled their adventures since winning the $200,000 Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund prize.
