Pomona College Choir Concert - December 3

Winter Break Parties - January 3-11
Where does a Sagehen go when the cold wind blows? To a
Winter Break Party!
Join Pomona College alumni, students and parents in early January for
some warm Sagehen camaraderie in select cities throughout the country.
The Requiem Returns
Alumni are invited to join a special English performance of Brahm's
Requiem during Alumni Weekend on Friday, April 27, 2007. For more

Edwin Krupp '66 Becomes a Media Star as Famous Observatory Reopens
As
the Griffith Observatory reopens after a four-year, $93 million
renovation, the media seems to have discovered another star: Edwin C.
Krupp. The observatory's director appeared in much of the
media
coverage, from the Los Angeles Times to the New York Times.
Catherine Rose Discusses Involvement in Alumni
Association
Alumni Association President Catherine Troyer Rose '85 discusses her
involvement with Pomona College as "second nature" in the most recent
issue of Pomona College Magazine.
Mobilizing the Vote
Entrepreneur
Grace Stanat '87 used text-messaging in an innovative
mobilization effort to help register thousands of young, first-time
voters and bring them to the polls on November 7.


Women's Lacrosse Takes Off as New Varsity Sport
The
former club team gains new status as the sport of lacrosse grows in
popularity nationwide. The
new varsity team begins league competition in
the spring, and players are already preparing for a new level of play.
Pomona College Science Courses Earn National Recognition
Three Pomona College courses have been recognized for their
excellence in a
national study conducted by the Center for Education
Policy Research on behalf of the College Board.
Biology Building Receives Prestigious Environmental Award
The new Richard C. Seaver Biology Building has been awarded a
silver certificate from the U.S. Green Building Council, placing the
building in the top 1 percent of all academic labratory buildings in the
country in
energy-conscious design.
Claremont Village Expansion Well Underway
The
expansion of the Claremont Village will bring new shops,
eateries and an art-house movie theatre near the Claremont Colleges next
year, providing more for you to do and see when you're visiting campus.
