Pomona College offers a very full menu of
eating options, with two restaurants and three dining halls
on campus. If that's not enough, more choices are available
on the adjacent campuses of the other Claremont Colleges or
a few blocks away in the Claremont Village.
Pomona's two restaurants are located in the Smith Campus
Center, which serves as the focal point for student
activities. The
Coop Fountain is a casual hangout, perfect for picking
up a quesadilla or burger or some other quick bite. The
Sagehen Cafe is a sitdown, full-service eatery with
seating both indoors and outdoors. It's a popular spot for
professors to share meals with students.
Under the meal plan, Pomona students have access to three
dining halls on campus plus nine more dining halls at the
other colleges. Stately Frary Dining Hall offers students a
chance to eat beneath a priceless work of art, the famous
Prometheus fresco by José Clemente Orozco. Oldenborg Center
gives students and visitors the chance to eat at language
tables where they can practice Spanish, Chinese, German and
other tongues. Dining Services
provides a wide variety of food choices, including
vegetarian options.
Just a few blocks from campus,
restaurants in the Claremont Village offer some of the
best dining in the region, with fare ranging from Afghan to
Argentinian to American. You'll find upscale restaurants and
quick-service eateries, along with coffee houses, bakeries
and a smoothie shop. |
