The Americas After Chavez Symposium

The death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will have powerful effects not only on Venezuela, but on the whole hemisphere. Chavez’ leadership inspired a new left, helped reconfigure international relations in the Americas, and sparked widespread political debate. The world is not the same after his passing, but we don’t know yet how it has changed. The “Americas After Chavez” will bring together important public figures and leading scholars to evaluate his powerful legacy.
