Bright Lights, Nano City

This image associated with the research of David Tanenbaum, assistant professor of physics, won the award for best optical image in the Micrograph Contest of the 45th International Conference on Electron, Ion and Photon Beam Technology and Nanofabrication, at which Tanenbaum presented a paper. The image is a dark-field microscope image of a test pattern, including a tower pattern and a variety of suspended nanostructures. The microscopic image is magnified 750 times.
