	Claremont/ In the News Claremont Listed Fifth Among Nation’s Best Places to Live Touting Claremont as a "tight-knit community with topnotch schools," Money magazine has named this suburban town No. 5 on its annual list of "America's best places to live" in its August 2007 issue. The magazine notes that "... Claremont came into its own in the early 20th century after the founding of Pomona College. Streets were named after prestigious East Coast schools, and residents were encouraged to plant trees. Today, Claremont is called the City of Trees and Ph.D.s. ... "
