Honoring Fellow Alums
The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the following two
annual awards: The Alumni Distinguished Service Award pays tribute to an
alumnus or alumna in recognition of that person’s selfless commitment
and ongoing volunteer service to the College. The Inspirational Young
Alumni Award honors a young alumnus or alumna (graduate of the last
decade) in recognition of his or her dedication, perseverance and
consistency in following the inscription on the College Gates: “They
only are loyal to this college who departing bear their added riches in
trust for mankind.” Please send names of nominees, along with a brief
supporting statement, to the Alumni Office at 305 N. College Ave.,
Claremont, CA 91711, or alumni@pomona.edu, by Nov. 4.

Alumni Weekend, April 28-30, 2006
Alumni Weekend 2006 will welcome Sagehens who graduated in classes
ending in the numbers 1 and 6. Start making your plans to return to
Claremont by reserving your hotel rooms. Rooms are reserved for the
classes of 1926-1971 at the Sheraton Suites Fairplex in Pomona, (888)
627-8074, and for the classes of 1976–2001 at the Sheraton Ontario
Airport Hotel, (800) 582-2946. Be sure to mention Pomona College Alumni
Weekend to get the special group rate. If you need more information, or
