Dialynas named to
board
Chris P. Dialynas ’76, a managing director, portfolio manager and senior
member of PIMCO,
one of the world’s leading fixed-income fund-management companies, has
been elected to the Pomona College Board of Trustees.
 The Newport Beach-based PIMCO manages nearly $600 billion worldwide.
Dialynas began his long association with PIMCO in 1980. Starting as an
investment analyst,
Dialynas rose through the ranks to become a managing director in 1987.
After a four-year
sabbatical that began in 1993, he returned to the company as a managing
director and
portfolio manager, with responsibility for investing several billion
dollars in assets for
pension plans, endowments, foundations, unions and foreign institutions
in the global bond
market.
Among his volunteer activities as an alumnus, Dialynas served as a
member of the College’s
National Campaign Committee from 1996 to 2002 and as president of the
college’s Kappa
Delta Alumni Association.
Dialynas lives in Newport Coast with his wife, Sheri Horne, and their
three children.
