Bulletin Board / News for Alumni
Never Too Early

It’s never too early to plan for future Alumni Weekends. Save the date and make your hotel reservations now for Alumni Weekend 2009. All classes ending in 4s and 9s are especially encouraged to mark their calendars for April 30–May 3, 2009. Hotel reservations sold out long in advance for the last Alumni Weekend, so book as soon as you can. Information on recent Alumni Weekends is available online at www.pomona.edu/alumniweekend, as well as the dates of future Alumni Weekend through 2014.

Have an Idea or Venue for an Alumni Event?
If you have an idea for an alumni event in your area, we would be glad to hear from you! The Alumni Office is interested in providing alumni with opportunities that have a special Pomona connection. Maybe you’re a docent who could take a group on a tour. Maybe you work somewhere that would allow you to give other alumni a behind-the-scenes experience. Maybe you’re an expert in a particular field that may interest others or have a home or workplace that could accommodate a lecture by a Pomona professor. Whatever you have to offer, please send an e-mail to alumni@pomona.edu with the details. We can’t promise to accommodate every offer, but we would like to discuss the possibilities with you.

Young Alumni Save the Date
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 will be the Claremont Colleges Worldwide Young Alumni Happy Hour. This happy event is held twice a year on the second Wednesday of September and the second Wednesday of March. Last time we had more than 20 cities represented, so there is bound to be a venue in your town. If there isn’t, it is easy to organize one. Contact alumni@pomona.edu if you are interested in organizing the party for your city. We will provide you with all the details you need to know.

What’s Your ZIP Code?
If you move, please make sure you update your address. We mail or e-mail event information based on ZIP code proximity to the actual event. So if you live in D.C., but are using a Los Angeles address, you will miss all the Pomona D.C. events. You can update your address anytime online, or call us at 1-888-SAGEHEN.
