Asian, Black and Latino Alumni Groups
Bulletin Board / New Alumni Groups

The Asian American Resource Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a symposium and dinner on Nov. 11. Alumni are invited to attend and participate in a series of events highlighting the AARC’s creation, its current function and its future. The event, “AARC: The Next 15,” reflects the center’s emphasis on the future of the Asian American community at Pomona. The day also kicks off the new Asian American Alumni Group. E-mail aarc@pomona.edu to join the Asian American Alumni Group.

The Black Alumni Group held its first reception during Alumni Weekend 2006. In attendance were a mix of alumni, students and the dean of the Office of Black Student Affairs. After introductions, there was a lively discussion of the types of activities Black alumni would like to do and how they can network with one another and support current Black students. If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Cynthia Linton ’75 at clinton@csusb.edu.
The Latino/a Alumni Group continues to build and strengthen the Pomona College Latino/a community to better connect to current students, the greater Latino/a community, Pomona College and to each other as alumni. Latino/a alumni can stay connected to each other though a Yahoo! Group. For more information, e-mail Pomona_Latinos@yahoogroups.com.
