We begin in the area known as South Campus, with a view of Sumner Hall through the trees.
The College’s oldest structure, Sumner Hall is home to the Office of Admissions, the Office of
Study Abroad, and the Office of Campus Life and Housing.
Panning around 180 degrees, you will
find the entrance to Oldenborg Center for International Relations and Modern Languages, which was
completed in 1966 and renovated in 1998. Oldenborg is a dormitory which houses 147 students studying
foreign languages and international relations. The dorm is divided into halls representing the
languages taught at Pomona. The Oldenborg International Theatre shows international films almost
nightly. Additionally, Oldenborg contains a dining hall that serves international fare. At lunch,
students practice their foreign language skills at tables designated by a country’s flag.
(Visit an Oldenborg dorm room. When you've finished, use the Back
button to return to this site.)
