  1. Students think in an informed, analytical, and critical manner about societal values.

  3. Students develop and refine reasoning skills, including: interpretation, argument, analyzing data, and mathematically based modeling.
  4. Students think in an informed, analytical, and critical manner about the links between values and social institutions, with special emphasis on the state and market economies.

Students use their abilities to think in an informed, analytical, and critical manner in order to formulate and articulate persuasive arguments about values and institutions, often with reference to the design of societal institutions or public policy, drawing on the knowledge and methodologies of multiple disciplines.
