Career & Internship Fair
Pomona College Career & Internship Fair
Pomona College's annual fair is geared for both employers and graduate schools. Employers and graduate schools from all industries including business, non-profit, education, entertainment, government, and high-tech are encouraged to attend this event.
Attendance
Students at Pomona College as well as all of the Claremont Colleges are invited to attend. Additionally, students from other liberal arts colleges in Southern California are welcome to come. Attendance is typically around 300 liberal-arts students who have diverse interests in careers and graduate education. Unlike many other colleges and universities where the career fair is becoming less effective, our career fair is growing in its ability to reach students as our students really welcome and appreciate the one-on-one conversations with representatives from organizations, which is reflective of their everyday academic environment. They also value the opportunity to meet so many reputable organizations in one place.
Organization Satisfaction
Here are some of the comments we received from organizations who have participated:
“Please remind us of the next job fair! Thanks for allowing us to be here!”
“Everybody very helpful; great students”
“We were overwhelmed from students with interest; great fair - thanks!”
Attending organizations receive:
- Complimentary parking
- Indoor seating and display area including a 6-foot table, two chairs, table covering and table sign in Edmunds Ballroom in the College’s Smith Campus Center.
- Lunch. Complimentary beverages throughout the day.
- Organization advertised on the Career Development Office website.
- Employer profile in special take-home Fair Guide. (Additional advertising space available.)
- Campus-wide print and electronic advertising of event to Claremont Colleges students.
