Organic Staples

In the Pomona dining halls, many of the items we use everyday are now certified organic. These include:

  • Most grains, including all rice, quinoa, barley, lentils, green peas, polenta, couscous and farro
  • All beans, including pinto, red chili, black turtle, white navy and garbanzo
  • Most soy products, including soy milk, tofu, tempeh and soy sauce
  • All bananas
  • Some produce
  • All white and wheat flour
  • Sugar, including cane and powdered
  • Dried fruit, including raisins, apricots, cherries and currants
  • All butter
  • All yogurt
  • All coffee, tea, chai and hot cocoa
  • Peanut butter
  • Strawberry jam
  • Soup bases
  • Coconut milk
  • Almond milk
