Requests for Re-Evaluation of Aid

Requests for a Re-Evaluation of a Financial Aid Award Package

Any student may request a re-evaluation of their financial aid award package.  Generally, such requests must include information that was not available to the Office of Financial Aid during the original review.  Common reasons for the re-evaluation of a financial aid package include:

  1. Unexpected loss of parental employment of six weeks or more
  2. Unexpected serious family illness or disability
  3. Unexpected separation or divorce of parents
  4. Death of a parent

To request the reevaluation of a financial aid award package, you must complete and submit the Pomona College Financial Aid Appeal Worksheet [pdf] .  Appropriate documentation  supporting your request must accompany the request for re-evaluation.  Consult the Financial Aid Appeal Worksheet [pdf] for more details.

Please understand that Pomona College strives to treat its students fairly and with consistency. We will review special circumstances individually, but with a sense of how they compare with other students at the College.
