COFHE 2011 will be held at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Claremont, located in eastern Los Angeles County about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, is known for its seven higher-education institutions, its tree-lined streets, and its historic buildings.

Casa 425
Twenty-eight rooms have been reserved at Casa 425 for Sunday, November 6th and Monday, November 7th with rooms ranging from $156 to $240 per night. To get the college discounted weekday rate, you will need to reserve a room no later than September 15, 2011. Room Check-in begins at 3:00p.m. and check-out is 12:00pm. Attendees are responsible for reserving their own rooms under the block provided by Pomona College. Casa 425 is within walking distance of Pomona college, and therefore it is recommended that attendees reserve rooms here rather than another location. Double Tree Hotel
Attendees also have the option to stay at the Double Tree Hotel, but they would be reserving their own rooms outside of the Pomona College package. By mentioning that you are a guest of Pomona College and will be attending a conference at Pomona College, you can get the Pomona College discounted rate on a standard room. Travel
Claremont is located about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains and it is within traveling distance of four main airports: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Ontario Airport, John Wayne Airport (SNA), & Burbank Airport. Ontario Airport is the closest in distance to Pomona College and it is recommended that participants fly into this airport.
LAX is the largest airport in Los Angeles County and it is approximately 50 miles away from Pomona college. The LAX website can be viewed here.

John Wayne Airport is located in the city of Santa Ana and it is approximately 40 miles away from Pomona College. The John Wayne Airport website can be viewed here.

We strongly recommend that you contact the airlines directly 24 hours prior to departure to confirm details or changes. There are taxis, shuttles, buses, and trains that can be taken from all four airports to Pomona college.
