Pomona College supports the research and scholarly efforts of its
tenured, tenure-track, and visiting full-time faculty via the General
Research Fund. For grants with budgets totaling more than $1000, the
Research Committee meets twice a year to determine which proposals
to fund. Grants of $1000 or less may be submitted at anytime and are
decided upon promptly by the Associate Dean. Please read the complete
instructions before submitting an application.
There are a few special grant and research opportunities,
including the Hirsch Research Initiation Grant Program, the Andrew
W. Mellon Faculty Career Enhancement Programs and the Downing
College Visiting Faculty Program. Descriptions of these programs
are given in the web pages shown below and available from the
Associate Dean.
