Under the auspices of a grant from the National Endowment
for the Humanities, the College is able to offer several
awards to Humanities faculty (Division I + History) on
sabbatical leave. These grants will be awarded on a
competitive basis and are to be used in a manner that can
best further the goals of the sabbatical leave, as
determined by the faculty member. Appropriate uses of awards

development; travel and/or living expenses.
Faculty wishing to apply for an NEH Sabbatical Grant should
provide a descriptive summary of the work to be undertaken
during the sabbatical, including a statement defining how
the award will further the goals of the sabbatical, and a
detailed budget. Funds
allocated for the payment of reimbursement of expenses. are
not taxable.
Applications must be received in the office of the Associate
Dean Cynthia Selassie, Alexander 226, by February 18,
2008. If you have questions about these grants, please call
