A generous gift from The Rose Hills Foundation has allowed us to
establish the Student Summer Research Awards in Science and
Engineering.
These fellowships will be awarded to meritorious University
undergraduates who meet the following criteria:
- Are Juniors or Seniors majoring in the life or
natural sciences (Psychology and Earth Sciences are
excluded) or engineering:
- Are U.S. Citizens; and
- Whose permanent address is in Southern California.
The fellowship stipend is $5000 per student. Students and their
faculty mentors are eligible for up to $1000 of additional funding
for research expenses. Fellowship awards are to be used during the
summer after a fellow’s Junior or Senior year only. Only eight
awards are available. These fellowships are supported through a
grant from the Rose Hills Foundation.
