Mark your calendar! Pomona College
invites classes ending in 3 and 8 back for Alumni Weekend
2008 on May 2-4, 2008.
Weekend activities begin on Friday, May 2 at 8 a.m., and
continue through Sunday, May 4 at noon.
The 50th Reunion Class of 1958 begins their festivities on
Thursday afternoon, May 1.

Sheraton Ontario Airport Hotel

Located less than one mile from the Ontario
International Airport and just eight miles from campus, the hotel has 164
guest rooms, a heated outdoor lap pool and whirlpool, and a

Sheraton Suites Fairplex in Pomona
$124/night plus tax; Triple: $134-$144/night plus tax
Located nine miles west of the Ontario International Airport
and just four miles from campus, this all-suite hotel features 247 two-room suites. Hotel
amenities include a fitness center, heated outdoor pool,
restaurant and lounge. To make your reservation, call

to get the discounted rate. Those flying into the Ontario Airport should make
advance reservations for airport pick-up by calling Sheraton

Doubletree Hotel Ontario Airport

Located 3 minutes from the Ontario International Airport and
just eight miles from campus, the newly renovated Doubletree
Hotel Ontario Airport has 484 over-sized guestrooms. Hotel
amenities include a pool, restaurant and fitness center.

get the discounted rate. To request complimentary 24-hour
airport pick-up from Ontario International Airport when you

The number of rooms in each block is limited, so we
encourage making early reservations. All hotels will require
a credit card to hold your reservation but will not charge
your card until your stay. Check-in time is no earlier than
3 p.m. Complimentary scheduled shuttle service will be
provided to and from campus on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
of Alumni Weekend for those staying at the two Sheraton hotels
only. For more information, check the schedule when you
arrive on campus.

Pomona College is located in Claremont, California, 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles,
and is easily accessible by car, plane, or rail.
By Car
Except from Pasadena or the San Fernando Valley, take I-10 to Indian Hill Boulevard,
Exit 47. From Orange County, take the Orange Freeway (Route 57) to I-10 east.
From the Long
Beach area, take the San Gabriel River Freeway (I-605) or the Long Beach Freeway (I-710) to
I-10 east.
Exit at Indian Hill Boulevard, drive north one mile to Bonita Avenue, turn right,
and travel three blocks to College Avenue. The Seaver House
is located on the northeast corner of College and Bonita Avenues.
From Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley, take the Foothill Freeway (I-210) east
to Towne Avenue. Turn right onto Towne, traveling south
approximately 1.6 miles to Bonita Avenue. Turn left onto Bonita and travel 1.3 miles to College Avenue. The Seaver House is
located on the northwest corner of College and Bonita Avenues.
There is free parking available at various locations throughout campus and on
the adjacent streets surrounding the College. For those driving, we recommend
you enter the campus from College Avenue, heading east on Bonita Avenue. The
road ends in front of the Seaver Theatre, and large parking lots are located on
either side of the theatre.

By Plane
We recommend flying into Ontario International Airport (ONT), which is less crowded than Los Angeles
International Airport (LAX) and closer to campus. Ontario is served by most major airlines and
all major car rental agencies. A cab ride to Claremont takes 20 minutes and costs
approximately $25.
If flying into LAX, you may take a commuter flight to Ontario, rent a car, or take a
shuttle van to Claremont. Allow an hour and a half to two hours driving time during peak times.
Super Shuttle, a 24-hour express shuttle to Claremont, costs $43 from LAX and $20 from Ontario; additional passengers cost $9 each. For reservations,

From Downtown Los Angeles by Rail
The Los Angeles area Metrolink serves the city of Claremont with a station two blocks from
the campus. Once at the Claremont Metrolink station, walk
east one block to College Avenue, then
north on College Avenue for two blocks to Bonita Avenue. The Seaver House
is located on the northwest corner of College and Bonita
Avenues.
