It's never too early to mark your calendar for Commencement Weekend.
Pomona’s commencement activities traditionally take place
over the course of three days. Highlights include:

The Claremont Colleges Baccalaureate Service in
Bridges Hall of Music with guest speaker Jerry Fowler,
president of the Save Darfur Coalition.
-- The Phi Beta Kappa Induction Ceremony
-- Class Day , culminating in the
celebratory Evening of Music and Art, featuring the Glee
Club and the Senior Art Show in Bridges
Auditorium, with refreshments on the South Portico of Big
Bridges.
-- The Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 17.
Since all of the Claremont Colleges have graduation on the
same weekend, accommodations for out-of-town guests are
sometimes scarce. It is best to make reservations early.
On this Website is a
directory of
hotels and motels within a 12-mile radius of the campus. To
make reservations, please deal directly with the hotels.
Although many people in many offices play a role in
Commencement Weekend, plans for the event are coordinated
through the President’s Office. If you have questions of any
