 President David Oxtoby
and the College as a whole welcomed the class of 2013 with
convocation exercises in Bridges Hall of Music on Sept. 1,
2009.
This year, the keynote speaker was Cecilia Conrad
(at right), vice president and dean of the college.
President David Oxtoby
and Jed Cullen ’10,
president of the Associated Students of Pomona College, also
addressed the community, and William Peterson, professor of music and college organist, provided special music.
Convocation traditionally opens the
academic year for first-year students and marks the
conclusion of their
Orientation Week.
