Senior Class Gift
Each year, the Senior Class makes a monetary gift to the College in order to help maintain the quality of life and education that Pomona provides
each one of us and our fellow students.
Formally introduced by the Class of 1894 with a donation of library books, the
Senior Class Gift is designed to be an opportunity for us to "give back" to Pomona College in exchange for the excellent academic environment, facilities, special programs, and overall enriching community from which
we have benefited.
What most of us do not realize is that a student paying full tuition (in other words, receiving NO financial aid) is actually covering only two-thirds of the cost of attending Pomona. The
remaining third comes from a variety of sources, including the Senior Class Gift
through the Annual Fund. Thus, every student receives a "hidden subsidy," whether or not they
receive financial aid.
By giving to the Senior Class Gift, we are saying "thank you" to Pomona College and ensuring that those who follow in our path to Pomona will receive the same high quality of education.
