When Can I arrive on Campus?

New students (first-year and transfers) can check into the residence hall beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 24. Students should report to the tent on the south side of Sumner Hall. The Residence Halls open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30th for returning students.

If I am on the deferred housing list, when can I expect to hear about my housing assignment?

All those not yet housed will be assigned rooms after August 13th and will
be notified through their Pomona email after August 15th.

Can I ship packages ahead of time prior to arriving on campus?

Students may ship packages, boxes, etc. to themselves at their Campus
Center address. Items cannot be received before August 11th. Items received will be held at a special receiving area on campus for the students to claim them when they arrive.

When is Fall Break?

Begins after the last class on Friday, October 17th. It ends at 8am on Wednesday, October 22nd. Residence Halls and Dining Halls are open.

When is Thanksgiving Recess?

Thanksgiving break begins after the last class on Wednesday, November 26th. It ends at 8am on December 1st. Residence Halls and Dining Halls are open.

When do the Residence Halls close in December:

Residence Halls close at NOON on Saturday, December 20th. Everyone
must leave by that time. There is no housing available during semester break.

When do the Residence Halls open in January 2009?

Residence Halls open at 8am, Sunday, January 18th. Classes begin
on Tuesday, January 20th.

When is Family Weekend?

Family Weekend will be February 13th -15th, 2009.

When is Spring Break?

Begins after the last class on Friday, March 13th. Ends at 8am, Monday, March 23rd. Dining Halls are closed.

When do the Residence Halls Close in May?

Residence Halls close at noon, Monday, May 18th.
Commencement is Sunday, May 17th.

I lost my ID card, where can I replace it?

The Office of Campus Life can replace your lost or stolen ID card. There is a $10.00 charge for replacement ID’s.

I lost my room key, how do I get a new one?

New keys can be ordered in the Office of Campus Life. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. There is a $75.00 lock change fee associated with a new key.

I lost my mailbox key, how do I get a new one?

Mailbox keys are given out from the student mail room. Replacement keys are $25.00. The student mailroom is located on the first floor of the Smith Campus Center.

Something does not work in my room, who can I call?

During business hours, call the maintenance department at (909) 607-2236. After hours in an emergency, contact Campus Safety at (909) 607-2000.
