How Can Alumni Help Current Pomona Students?
Register to be an Alumni Career Advisor:
Your advice can make a significant impact on students and other alumni. If
you would like to offer your employment thoughts, experiences and opinions to
help others in their search for the right career, consider making yourself
available as an Alumni Career Advisor on the Sagehen Career Connection online
database.
The Career Development Office has provided this service as a database for use within
the CDO since 1993 and has drawn rave reviews from Sagehens. It is now
available for the first time online (under password protection) as of fall 2005. Alumni Career Advisors
have provided students with vital information about career preparation, jobs, internships
and more. Your membership in the database does not obligate you to find opportunities
for students; it merely says that you will be a friendly voice in the otherwise anonymous,
often intimidating world of work.
Please click here to complete the Alumni Career Advisor
registration form. You may return it through e-mail, or print it out and
fax or mail it to the CDO. As noted earlier,
the information you provide will only be accessible through a database through a password-protected site available to
current Pomona College students and alumni.
The data on your career path will offer hope and reassurance to students who wonder whether their
academic majors will lead to successful careers. Even if you are not interested in having
students or alumni contact you, we would still be interested in learning about your career path.
We hope you will take this opportunity to share your experience with students who are
coping with career decisions that you faced as a student or recent graduate. Thank you
for your interest in the alumni database. We look forward to receiving your completed registration form.
