Advanced Resume Guide
As someone who has gained a few or more years of experience in the working world, your resume will differ from that of a new grad in the following ways:
- Your resume, depending on the industry or field, can be longer than one page. You have more experience, professional accomplishments, and memberships in organizations.
- Your resume will not emphasize your Pomona degree as much. Unless you just finished graduate school, the Education portion of your resume should follow your Experience portion.
- Your employment information should provide more details. Describe your employer in terms of employee or revenue size. Detail your responsibilities and accomplishments.
- A Summary Statement at the top can be helpful to direct the reader. Three or four lines summarizing your relevant experience can attract the reader's attention.
- Review how to write a cover letter
