  • Join us for the 10th Annual Pomona College Career & Internship Fair on February 6, 2009, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in Edmunds Ballroom. You'll have the chance to speak with representatives from tons of great companies and organizations in a variety of fields, including Teach for America, Loyola Marymount University, and the US Department of State.
     

  • Also, be sure not to miss Career Week from February 9 through February 13, 2009, for alumni panels directed toward lots of different majors and career paths. Hear how Pomona alums got into their chosen fields and get their advice on how to achieve your goals.

  • Intern with Claremont Tutors (posted by a Pomona alum!)
    Claremont Tutors is offering a 'Coordinator in Training' Internship beginning August 2009, possibly leading to full-time employment as a Program Coordinator.

    Work can be done from any quiet dorm room with a Windows computer, a fast internet connection, and a headset.  Applicants should have experience working with Excel (especially formulas), Access, and QuickBooks; tutoring experience; and prior administrative or managerial experience. Any applicant who has experience with database design, web development and ASP.net will be given special consideration.

  • The Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Essay Contest 2009
    Deadline: Friday, December 19, 2008

    Juniors and Seniors are invited to apply in this annual competition, sponsored by the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity, designed to challenge college students to analyze the urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world.  Students are encouraged to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues and are rational arguments for ethical action.  First prize: $5,000, second prize: $2,500, third prize:  $1,500.  For a list of suggested topics and additional information on applying, visit www.eliewieselfoundation.org/.
