Assistant English Teacher positions in Japan
Heart English School is seeking graduates who are native English
speakers to teach in public junior high and elementary schools in Japan.
We offer positions similar to what is available through the JET Program.
The company provides training, assistance in finding housing and rental
car (if needed), sponsors work visas, and lends support throughout the
contract.
We are looking for some applicants willing to start immediately, and
then will have other openings for September and April of each year.

Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice
The Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice was created in 2005 by
Philippe Villers, Founder and President of Families USA. Villers Fellows
work in our health policy department and assist our organization's
efforts to improve access to health coverage for all Americans,
especially for low-income and other vulnerable communities.
Specifically, Villers Fellows will conduct research on a range of health
care policy issues, and write and contribute to publications that are
relevant to current health policy debates.

Wellstone Fellowship
The Wellstone Fellowship for Social Justice aims to advance social
justice through health care advocacy, focusing particularly on the
unique challenges facing communities of color.
Through this fellowship, established to honor the memory of the late
Senator Paul D. Wellstone, we hope to expand the pool of talented social
justice advocates from underrepresented racial and ethnic minority
groups.

American Heart Association (Health and Medicine)
Undergraduate Student Research Award
The Undergraduate Student Research Program is intended to enable
promising undergraduate students from all disciplines to consider
careers in heart or stroke research. Students are assigned to leading
cardiovascular research laboratories in California, Nevada, and Utah for
a ten-week period during the summer to work under the supervision of
experienced scientists. The projects students work on range from basic
molecular research to direct physiological studies, and some
opportunities for participation in more clinical investigations are also
available.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at a college or university in
California, Nevada, or Utah at the time of application, or be a resident
of one of these states. Participation by women and traditionally
underrepresented candidates is encouraged.
