Hire An Intern

The Pomona College Internship Program
Becoming an internship sponsor through the Pomona College Internship Program (PCIP) enables you to utilize the intelligence and creativity of a Pomona student at no charge to your organization. Our students gain valuable work experience; you gain valuable assistance and visibility on campus through your intern. During the academic year, interns may work up to 15 hours per week with organizations in the greater Los Angeles area through PCIP. This unique program, offered during the academic year, allows interns to be compensated by Pomona College at no cost to your organization.  For more information on becoming a PCIP sponsor, contact Internship Coordinator Audrey Gustafson by e-mail or call 909- 621-8144.

Pomona Summer Internship Opportunities
The Career Development Office is also glad to assist organizations in hiring students for summer internships by advertising positions and resume collection. Previous opportunities have been located in cities around the world including Chicago, New York, Hong Kong, and Prague.

Interns are a great way to:

  1. Complete projects that full-time staff are not able to fit in their already packed schedules
  2. Identify high caliber candidates for future openings
  3. Bring new and fresh perspectives to your organization
  4. Benefit from creative, bright, and highly motivated students

Most students are available to work between late May through late August.  We are interested in full-time and part-time internships and will list both paid and unpaid opportunities.  As many students also need to earn an income during the summer, we encourage your organization to provide compensation.  If your organization is unable to provide an hourly wage or stipend, offering compensation such as housing assistance, travel reimbursement, or even a flexible schedule enabling students to work at a part-time job is also helpful.

If you or your organization would like a talented and motivated Sagehen as an intern this summer click here to complete and submit the online internship description form.  Internship Coordinator Audrey Gustafson will contact you to follow up with your opportunity.  If you have questions please e-mail Audrey or call 909.621.8144.
