To assist you in your efforts to advise students on graduate school and career path exploration issues, the Career Development Office is pleased to provide you with access to the Sagehen Career Connection.

The Sagehen Career Connection is a searchable, online database comprised of Alumni Career Advisors.  This is a special group of alumni contacted by the Career Development Office who have agreed to share their contact information and career and graduate school histories on this database.

The Sagehen Career Connection provides students a valuable opportunity to contact alumni in an effort to learn more about career fields and positions, explore career and graduate/professional school options, find out what alumni with the same major have gone on to do, and much more.

For students contacting alumni using the Sagehen Career Connection for the first time, we recommend they read "Tips for Contacting Alumni" and "Informational Interviewing" as well as the introduction on the database search page before calling or e-mailing alumni.

For faculty access to the Sagehen Career Connection:

• Log into your portal
• Select "Personalize" next to where it states "Your Name's" homepage
• Select "Page Portlets"
• From this list, choose "Sagehen Career Connection" and move it to one of your columns
• Click "Save Changes"
• Click "Return to your homepage"
• The Sagehen Career connection link should now be on your homepage.
