Mission:

The Career Development Office (CDO) is a partner of Pomona College’s liberal arts program.

The CDO provides quality resources, counseling, and services to help students and alumni assess and apply their liberal arts education and life experiences to a lifetime of fulfilling opportunities.

Core Values:

Resources – We provide current and comprehensive resources for self-assessment, internship, career and graduate school research, and other areas of life planning.

Holistic Counseling – We view students and alumni as having multi-dimensional lives with the career pursuit as one of those dimensions. Other aspects of one’s individual experience are not neglected but embraced and encompassed into the process.

Partnerships – We participate in a wide range of partnerships with alumni, employers, parents, donors, campus and local communities, and academic and administrative departments to enhance the development of students.
