Lewis Black Performs at Pomona College

Comedian Lewis Black, best known for his role on "The Daily
Show with Jon Stewart" and his irreverent, no-holds-barred
political and cultural commentary, will stop at Pomona
College on his "Red, Black & Screwed Tour" on Thursday, Feb.
8 at 8 p.m.
Black has performed his caustic comedy at clubs throughout
Europe and America. He has appeared in his own one-man
off-Broadway show "Black Humor." He has also appeared in
several films and authored more than 40 plays. He once
described his humor as being on the Titanic every single day
and being the only person who knows what is going to happen.
Attacking contemporary politics–Republicans and Democrats
alike—Black’s rage-like comedy skewers everything from
staunch conservatism to the absurdities of life.
Black said, "[T]hrow a dart at a map of the United States,
go into the jungle, find a monkey, take it on a plane,
parachute it out to the location the dart hit, and whoever
the first person the monkey touches, that is the new
president." His rants and angry finger-wagging jab
repeatedly at authority while he teeters on the edge of his
own sanity.
Due to explicit content unsuitable for children, parents are
strongly cautioned.
This event will take place at Bridges Auditorium at Pomona
College (450 N. College Way, Claremont). Tickets for the
public are $25 and are on sale at the Bridges Auditorium Box
Office and Ticketmaster. The Box Office is open
Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and two hours prior to the
performance. The event is sponsored by Pomona College and
