WASC and the accreditation process
Pomona College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission
for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western
Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). WASC is an
institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council on
Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of
Education.Pomona will undergo its re-accreditation review
by WASC in
2009-2010. The current model of accreditation stresses
the importance of on-going, systematic, and broadly
participatory processes of inquiry that stimulate
organizational learning and improvement. Materials and
