Building Community
Congratulations upon an outstanding Spring issue! It is a “saver” and a
“pass it around”
issue. In fact, I would like to pass on copies to the president of Chico
State and some community activists that I have wanted to fire up
regarding the high number of homeless and the lack of an integrated
community help center. In this rural area it takes a 45-minute bus trip
to get to the county seat for some of the needed help. Thank you.

WOW! The Spring 2007 issue is just mind blowing! Every article is both
interesting and uplifting. Every article makes me proud to be a member
of the Pomona community.
Congratulations to writers and subjects alike.

I just got the latest PCM in my mailbox—so exciting! Of course I
particularly love Jill
Robinson’s story on Stomp the Yard. Nice work!

47 Sighting
Stephen Hunter isn’t a Sagehen, but maybe he should be an honorary one
after publishing his new novel, titled The 47th Samurai. Written in 47
chapters, the book is a continuation of Hunter’s bestselling series
about Bob Lee Swagger, including Point of Impact, from which the
recent film Shooter was made.
Send us your letter or your 47 Sighting. We welcome letters from
alumni and friends. Letters may be edited for length, style and clarity.
