Men’s Basketball (16-9 overall, 10-4 SCIAC)
Pomona senior Ed Wexler-Beron was named to the SCIAC All-Conference
First Team, while Pomona senior Alex Lloyd and Pitzer junior David
Knowles were named to the second team. The team finished tied for second
place.
Women’s Basketball (5-20 overall, 2-12 SCIAC)
First year guards Raquel Viramontes, from Pomona, and Rosa Lee, from
Pitzer, led the Sagehens in scoring, averaging 10.4 and 10.8 points per
game respectively.
Men’s Swimming and Diving (5-4 overall, 4-3 SCIAC)
A new school record was set by Michael Song ’08, Andrew Vonasch ’06,
Nicholas Douglas ’07 and Jordan Gadd ’09, all from Pomona, in the 200
Medley Relay 1:37.32. Pomona first-year David Hendrickson qualified for
nationals in the 1650 Freestyle 16:13.97.
Women’s Swimming and Diving (7-2 overall, 5-2
SCIAC)
Pomona first-year Michelle Prokocki set three new school records (200
Back 2:06.35; 100 Back 1:00.01; 100 Fly :58.55) and a new SCIAC record
(200 Backstroke 2:06.35). At nationals, she finished 22nd in 100 Fly,
27th in 100 back and 19th in the 200 back. |
