The Wig Winners for 2000
The winners of the Wig Distinguished Teaching Awards for 2000 are professors Michael K. Kuehlwein, Paul K. Saint-Amour, Cynthia D. Selassie, Lenny M. Seligman and Margaret A. Waller.
The awards recognize quality of teaching, concern for students, research and service to College and community. Winners are chosen by the junior and senior classes.
Kuehlwein, associate professor of economics, joined the faculty in 1987. He holds a Ph.D. from M.I.T.
Saint-Amour, assistant professor of English since 1997, holds a doctorate from Stanford University.
Selassie, professor of chemistry, has taught at Pomona since 1980 and chaired the Chemistry Department since 1995. Her Ph.D. is from USC.
Seligman, assistant professor of biology, joined the faculty in 1996. He holds a doctorate in genetics from the University of Washington.
Waller, associate professor of romance languages and literature, joined the faculty in 1986. She earned her Ph.D. in French from Columbia.
