Teaching from original works of art is central to the mission at the Pomona College Museum of Art. Throughout the academic year the Museum offers a variety of educational programs highlighting the exhibitions and collections of the Museum and connecting our students with the arts and concerns of ourtime. Pomona College faculty use the Museum, its exhibitions, and collections as a resource for teaching, a classroom, and a subject for research and writing.
It's happening at Pomona College!
In conjunction with "It Happened at Pomona: Art at the Edge of Los Angeles 1969-1973" and the region-wide Pacific Standard Time initiative and in collaboration with faculty across the curriculum, the Museum has organized a series of programs at Pomona College and guided bus tours to PST venues in LA. Throughout the year, over 15 classes will participate in visits, discussions, and programs. Their experience is supported by a resource rich, mega course site available to students registered for the courses and faculty members. In addition a student blog will share the excitement. Please contact the Museum's Curator of Academic Programs, Terri Geis, for more information.
