Comedian Sarah Haskins on Gender in Advertising: "All Women Love Yogurt, Right?"
Comedian and commentator Sarah Haskins will examine the question and topic, “All Women Love Yogurt, Right? Gender Portrayals in Advertising,” in a talk on Wednesday, November 11 at 7 p.m., at Pomona College. She will screen clips culled from the "Target Women" segment of her popular show InfoMania, on Current TV, a global cable and satellite TV network.
Haskins joined the InfoMania team in 2007, and her "Target Women" segment topics have included wedding shows, cleaning supplies, how to get hot chicks, Sarah Palin and the "lady vote", the Twilight book and film series, and ABC’s daytime show The View. Prior to working for Current TV, she was an improvisational and sketch comedy performer at I.O. (ImprovOlympic) Chicago, and was with the Second City National Touring Company for six years before moving to California.
