Pomona College was featured in an article in the L.A. Times last Sunday on the many ways colleges help relieve the stress of their students during finals week. The writer of "Laser tag, karaoke keep finals from being a test of nerves" visited campus on the same day as a group of puppies and bunnies, which were set up in pens so that students could play with them. Neil Gerard, Pomona College's associate dean of students, was quoted as saying that seniors particularly feel "an aura of pressure," as many worry about the possibility of moving home after graduation and competing with older people for entry-level jobs, but that most students cope well and just need a break from studying.
