Relay for Life Event to be Held at Pomona College
The Claremont Colleges Against Cancer group will present their annual overnight Relay for Life event, to be held on Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m. through Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at the Pomona-Pitzer Track.
Relay for Life, started by the American Cancer Society, is a celebration of cancer survivors, a remembrance of people lost to cancer and a fundraising effort for cancer research. Relay for Life teams camp around the track and team members take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event. Participants are not required to stay for the entire 24 hours.
Activities and entertainment will include a dunk tank, obstacle courses, sports tournaments, a DJ and performances by a cappella groups from the Claremont Colleges.
