Jamie Goldberg '11 Receives White House Correspondents' Association Scholarship
Jamie Goldberg ’11 has been awarded one of only 16 White House Correspondents’ Association Scholarships. She received the award from President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner in April.
Goldberg, who majored in politics with a minor in psychology, is a student at the U.C. Berkeley School of Journalism and has been covering politics and sports for an online local news outlet, missionlocal.org, in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also freelances with the San Francisco Chronicle and the sports desks of the Marin Independent Journal, Oregonian and Boston Globe. This coming summer, she will serve as an intern for the Washington Bureau of the Los Angeles Times.
Among her activities at Pomona, Goldberg was a reporter for The Student Life for three years and an avid softball player for the Sagehens.
