Will Leer '07 Competes in Bid for the 2012 Summer Olympics
Will Leer '07 made it to the USA 1500 meter finals last weekend as he made a bid for the 2012 Olympics. He won his semifinal heat at the US Olympic Track and Field qualifiers in Oregon with a time of 3:51.27, earning an automatic qualification for the finals. During the finals on Sunday, he led for much of the first half of the race before being caught from behind. In 2008, Leer came in fourth at that summer's Olympic trials. Leer is currently being coached by reigning silver medalist Nick Willis.
