Photo Gallery: Orientation Adventure 2012
At the beginning of each school year, the incoming class heads off into the California wilderness or local environs for Orientation Adventure (OA) trips to bond with fellow first-years in a fun, non-academic setting and get the opportunity to explore one of the diverse destinations accessible from Pomona. OA trips, led by Pomona student leaders and often faculty and staff, are "Leave No Trace" excursions, limiting environmental impact on the destinations, and each trip has trip has some type of service project designed to help give back. Destinations for the trips include Yosemite, Santa Cruz Island, the Pacific coast, June Lake, Kern River, and Los Angeles.
Each year, the Outdoor Education Center (OEC) holds a photography contest for students and presents a photo slideshow as an event. Check out the student-produced photos below or visit the OEC's Facebook to comment on the photos.
