Pomona College Professor Lisa Anne Auerbach Among Artists to be Featured in Whitney Biennial
Assistant Pomona College Professor of Art Lisa Anne Auerbach will be among the artists featured in the 2014 Whitney Biennial in New York, which begins on March 7. Auerbach’s work, which includes photography and knitting, has been on exhibit at the UCLA Hammer Museum and highlighted in American Magazine. This past winter, Auerbach had a solo show at the Malmö Konsthall in Sweden. The Whitney Biennial, which began in 1932, is a leading event in the art world, displaying contemporary American art, often by younger artists.
The late author David Foster Wallace, formerly the College’s Roy E. Disney Professor of Creative Writing, will also be recognized at the festival.
