Ms. Tucker joined the Division of Student Affairs at
Pomona in 2005. Prior to her work at Pomona, Maria worked in
a variety of positions at the University of Michigan,
Cornell University, Cal Poly Pomona and Citrus Community
College. Maria holds degrees in Psychology & Sociology from
UC Riverside and Public Policy from Claremont Graduate
University. She is currently completing her dissertation in
the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the
University of Michigan where she studied environmental
sociology. Her dissertation focuses on technology use among
grassroots environmental and environmental justice
organizations. To her position, Maria brings a passion for
higher education, life long learning and social justice. In
her spare time, she enjoys watching Michigan football and
the NFL and spending time with her son. She enjoys her
current work and can attribute much of the fun to the
friendly and engaging Pomona
students with whom she works. Her most
memorable moment thus far has been watching first years
chirp through the gates! |
