About RSS Feeds |
| |
What is RSS
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard format for
sharing and distributing Web content, such as news
headlines, and delivering it straight to your desktop
automatically. Using an RSS reader, you can view content
feeds from Pomona's Web -
headlines, summaries, and links to full stories - without
having to manually browse our site to get them.
How do I Access and Read RSS Feeds
RSS Readers will download and display RSS feeds on your
computer automatically. A number of free and commercial RSS
Readers are available for download. Some are separate, stand-alone programs to be downloaded and installed on your
computer (NewsNetWire,
FeedDemon,
AmphetaDesk), while others simply use an RSS
reading Web site (Bloglines,
Rojo,
Google Reader). |
