Services/Programs: Halona
A Native American word meaning "happy place," Halona has been a quiet, restful, retreat center for Pomona College students, faculty, staff and alumni for decades.
If you are interested in reserving Halona you must fill out a reservation request form which can be obtained at the ASPC office or downloaded from this site. Halona is available for use by Pomona College faculty, staff and alumni for personal use outside the academic year.
Reservation acceptance is determined by the Halona Committee and priority is given to student/faculty groups. Personal use reservations may be cancelled with a minimum of thirty days notice, should a campus group request the same date.
Halona is located in Idyllwild, California about one and one half hours from
campus by car.
Fees:
· Overnight use - $60/night
· Daily use - $60/day
A minimum of $60 deposit is due at the time your reservation is accepted.
If you are interested in using Halona or have questions you can email
John Lopes or download the Halona
request form from this site and turn it in to the SCC office.
