Students are extremely important to Pomona's sustainability
goals! For many years, students have been the driving force
for all of the sustainability work done at the College. From
driving the creation of the original Environmental Policy to
working as auditors for the College's recent Campus
Sustainability Audit, students have been integrally involved
in the programs and policies in place today.

environmental impact while living, working, and playing on
campus. Stay tuned for more!

Checkout Program
We want to help you change your habits! The
Sustainability Integration Office provides a small variety
of items for students to check out free of charge to reduce
their personal environmental impacts. Currently, checkout
items available are laundry drying racks, compost buckets,
and CFL light bulbs. You can also check out a
Kill A Watt to measure the energy use of the items in
your room! See here
for more information on checkout!
Have a project idea?
Many of the College's efforts toward sustainability
have started with student ideas. If you have a project idea,
please tell us! The Sustainability Integration Office can
help you develop your idea and hopefully make it happen, and
possibly even provide funding. The President's Advisory
Committee on Sustainability can also provide funding for any
campus-based, non-outreach projects (i.e. not speakers or
events).
