In consultation with faculty, each senior student selects a philosophical issue or question to investigate and a) researches the relevant readings, b) presents and discusses these readings with other senior philosophy students and philosophy faculty at regular meetings, c) periodically submits précis of their readings and d) at the end of the semester completes a written comprehensive explanation of the current literature on student's topic.
