A generous gift from The Rose Hills Foundation has allowed us to establish the Student Summer Research Awards in Science and Engineering.
These fellowships will be awarded to meritorious University undergraduates who meet the following criteria:
- Are Juniors or Seniors majoring in the life or natural sciences (Psychology and Earth Sciences are excluded) or engineering:
- Are U.S. Citizens; and
- Whose permanent address is in Southern California.
The fellowship stipend is $5,000 per student. Students and their faculty mentors are eligible for up to $1,000 of additional funding for research expenses. Fellowship awards are to be used during the summer after a fellow's Junior or Senior year only. Eight awards are available. These fellowships are supported through a grant from the Rose Hills Foundation.
The on-line application open and end dates will be provided to all Pomona faculty and students by email announcement as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
The maximum award for a ten-week period. This award can not be combined with other, simultaneous, on-campus summer employment.
Information about on-campus housing will be made available at the time awards are announced.
